Friendly Fires – Paris
The strangest thing. I’ve totally ignored this band, much like I ignored Late Of The Pier. I don’t really know why, maybe ’cause their names are sort of similar and sound emo, and they’ve been remixed by everyone.
So I automatically go turtle-mode, and shut ‘em out.
But anyway I stumbled upon this song and haven’t decided if they are good or not yet. I like the synth flowing in the background on the song though.
It’s a bit Klaxons/The Rapture/Cazals. What happened to The Rapture anyway? Did they vanish? Was the song No Sex For Ben Timbaland did for them that shit? To answer your question: Yeah, it was really really shit. Don’t ever pull that stunt again.
