Van She
Where did this wonderful band go? They took my heart by storm with the Kelly EP, a truly beautiful first taste of a album to come. Then we waited.. Nothing, the the release of V saw the light of day and disappointment struck. I know I’ve been on about this before, nagging like a bitch ’bout it, but fuck man, I loved Kelly-era Van She. And the album was nothing like the 80′s magic they first portrayed.
But I sense hope in this fashionable ensemble.
The much loved classic Don’t Fear The Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult took a epic turn with this Bacardi B-Live series addition by Van She, the smashing stadium-like synths sways side to side getting your heart racing like your about to watch Ghostbusters (that might just be me), the sensual vocals lays this baby to rest and fills me with utter joy. A very nice and sexy take on this old track, but yet somehow I feel as if it lacks some cowbell.
