Very International Love

Self-Titled-Album-Artwork

Palatial Crest is an interesting label. I’ve posted Geijus before, which I found to make some very original music, with that very own touch. The info I managed to gather about the mysterious label was that they are located in a basement and (most likely) in Portland, Oregon. Anyway, I like the style and the atmosphere they portray.

And besides Geijus, they have another act on their roster, called Very International Love. And that name sort of gives away a lot of what the music is about, it’s.. erm.. International.. Nah, just kidding. But they do have that french touch to their vibe. It’s disco, it’s dancy, it’s funky, but still enough to keep it on the “down-low”, it also have that emotional funk-indie feel around it too. The vox gives it that more serious sound, so we don’t brush it off as a less sincere act.

I have high hopes for Very International Love, + it sounds like they are using real instruments, which in turn equals a possibility for a cool live-show. And not that “humping on macbook and turning nobs”-shit we all came to love for some fucked up reason.

Palatial Crest is the label, you can get all their releases up in there and they ship to every love-child on the planet.
