the Diogenes Club
My first impression of the Diogenes Club when the guitar started tapping was that it was maybe a bit too much pop for my own taste, but then their personality started to show and began to come through. And the feelings flushed over me like a wave of sounds cradling me into a warm cushion of love.
This is their first EP with vocalist and song-writer Paul Giles, which makes the pillars of this band’s sound, the fusion of 80′s synth melodies and shoegaze-pop makes it a unbeatable combination. It’s like wonderful mix of Duran Duran, M83 and Empire of the Sun. Their EP Do You Know How To Feel It on UrbanTorqure Records can be purchased on Beatport here, and will be released on the 21th of September.
This is really a landmark for emotional-driven electronic music. I’m impressed, really impressed.

I’ve been following these lads for quite some time. As an 80s buff, I’m going to give you the best representation of these guys:
Duran Duran circa Ordinary World. Spacey guitars; soft, low-key vocals, and sound that surrounds you and keeps you company when the sun is coming down on that beautiful summer night.
These guys are so under appreciated, so enjoy them and show them tons of love…
Big, big ups!
