Alan Wilkis + The Very Best
We, the blogs, rarely go after a measure-stick when it comes to fame or Myspace-plays per day. We listen to the artist, soak in the visuals and feel whether we like the track or not. That’s it. I couldn’t care less if you was from a trench in Mogadishu or a penthouse in Tokyo. It really doesn’t matter.
And “fame” doesn’t really exist anymore, or the meaning of it has changed.
But when I listen to Alan Wilkis‘ tracks, may it be remixes or originals, I can but help to think “This guy has to be, or deserve to, get all the attention the world can muster”.
Needless to say, I love what he does, and I’m my eyes he’s close to a genius. And this track we have here just so happens to be a remix by Alan of a track made by The Very Best featuring Ezra Koenig from Vampire Weekend.
