No1Else Does It As Good As This, Heh.

You know, I gotta be honest with you. I’m lacking inspiration to write in this blog and as before I’m thinking of throwing in the towel. It may not look as if it’s “a lot of work” doing a blog of this sort, but heck, it kinda gets frustrating once in a while when you constantly have to post to keep the readers coming back, and uploading tracks day after day after day.

And I’ve been doing this for one and a half years now, it’s not that I haven’t gotten a lot out of doing this thing. I have, more than I would’ve imagined.

But I don’t know. Usually the first thing I do after I wake up or come home from school is to write a post, but now I don’t look as forward to it as I used to. I seams like a endless race.

And this fucking Hype Machine thing is making my neckhairs rise, people posting famous tracks of bands to get traffic (and remember, if you live in Europe, post at night. Then most Americans are awake and will flock to your blog). I’m guessing Hype Machine has most traffic about 3am here in Finland, so that’s the time to post.

But that’s the way it is… I guess what I’m trying to say is that I thought I would’ve had more people reading this blog by now, ’cause that is truly the best compliment (And not the 50 cents I get a day from the ads). More attention from Finnish media maybe, for instance, Vasabladet (a local newspaper in my hometown) totally ignored to write about my Back To The Future evening, not even a small notice, and yes I wrote them about it.. A long fucking mail. This thing NEVER happens in a small town like that, and they are begging for newsstories. It just was unheard of. You have the clubs that might aswell stream MTV live at the dancefloor and some Dj who MIRACULOSLY have just found out about Justice’s D.a.n.c.e, and that’s it. I offered them as chance to write about the mp3-blog phenomenon (incl. Copyright issues, record companies, independent artists, blog promotion, teh internetz and so on and so fucking forth), and/or write about the electro-evening.

No answer. Nothing written.

I guess if I don’t hold on to a melodica and a spoon slapping my knee, and a guy with a shit-serious face in the band, It doesn’t count as music. Right? “You’re not serious enough, you gotta be serious”.

Do I sound a bit too ambitious? Maybe. But then again, I’m not dumb. And I don’t like to lie and beat around the bush. So I’m just throwing my shit about there. Yes, thank you Vasabladet, for nothing.

Puh, glad I got that off my chest.

Anyway, sorry No1Else, you deserve a post of your own and not my rantings in it. But maybe someone will read it now and don’t just go for the song as soon as they jump into the server. No1Else is from France Paris, and he does electro that sound that they might be a mixture of the Morricone soundtrack for Fulci’s Conquest, a touch of Digitalism’s sterile soundscapes and the sinister history the pavements of Paris have seen.
