Let me tell you people a few words about two of finest tunesmiths Finland has to offer. They are called Renaissance Man. Their intelligent techno makes me shiver for it has so great sounds and minimalism mating.

I would like to categorize them as a part of new a Finnish techno sound similar to Square Mode‘s and Femme And Fourrure‘s. They all have similar dark gloom added to them. Lynch me if you disagree. They also seem to do great on the continent aswell.

Renaissance Man aka DJ Downtown ja DJ Jaxxon is a duo who “met over a grim cup of black coffee at a Finnish architecture firm” – where they used to work at. They have remixed acts like WhoMadeWho, Delphic, Crystal Fighters, Brodinski, Crookers, Health, and, most recently, Azari & III. And I hope the list goes on. They’ve also had their stuff on Kitsuné, Dubsized and Made To Play.

Recently they’ve moved to Berlin and have been recording their upcoming album out on October ’11 via Turbo Recordings. Let’s see if the boys have gone even deeper into the techno sounds. Berlin seems effect like that sometimes.
